There are many ways to gain enlightenment ... most of which have led to some seriously unenlightened behavior on the part of their followers. I'm sure that on more than one occasion <DIVINITY> has said "See if I ever put intelligent life on a planet again..." Still, religion has inspired at least as much nobility as baseness. At its worst it can be a trigger for sectarian violence... but at its best it can bring disparate people together and create that brotherhood of humankind that is often lauded but all too rarely seen. I am a mystic by temperament, and so I've often found solace and inspiration in the writings of various mystical, magical and religious traditions.

Here are some of my favorites... from the sublime to the sardonic to the frankly ridiculous. There are no Tickets to Heaven here, no pressure to convert. Feel free to browse around and if something speaks to you, consider yourself fortunate.
